About the service

What is consecutive interpreting?

Consecutive interpreting is time-delayed oral transfer—the interpreter listens to a segment of speech and then reproduces it in the target language.

In this classic form of interpreting, the interpreter takes notes during the speech and interprets during pauses. This method is ideal for business appointments, negotiations, contract signings, and smaller meetings.

The advantage: no technical equipment is required—the interpreter works directly on site with the participants. At Tratext, we use experienced consecutive interpreters who can accurately convey even complex technical discussions.
