About the service

What is simultaneous interpreting?

Simultaneous interpreting is the concurrent oral transfer of language—the interpreter conveys the message almost in real time while the speaker is talking.

This most demanding form of interpreting requires maximum concentration and expertise. Interpreters work in soundproof booths with headphones and a microphone. At Tratext, we deploy at least two interpreters per language combination for simultaneous interpreting, alternating every 20–30 minutes.

Simultaneous interpreting is ideal for international conferences, annual general meetings, EU sessions, and large events. On request, we provide the complete technology—ISO-compliant booths, digital receivers, and experienced on-site technicians.
